Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions are between you and Prompting Academy ("Prompting Academy", "we", "us"), the operator of prompting.academy. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization; if you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

2. The service

Prompting Academy provides AI-assisted prompting, writing, research, and product-building tools, including the PRD Builder, which turns product ideas into structured specifications. Features and usage limits depend on your plan (Guest, Free, Pro, Team, or Enterprise).

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your selected plan. You may not reverse engineer the service, resell or redistribute it, or circumvent technical limits such as usage quotas.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, including:

  • Any unlawful use, fraud, or spam.
  • Infringing intellectual property rights of others.
  • Interfering with security or infrastructure (malware, probing, scraping, bypassing rate limits).
  • Generating illegal content, deepfakes intended to deceive, hate speech, malware, or attempts to jailbreak the underlying AI models.

You are responsible for your prompts and inputs, how you use the outputs, verifying output accuracy, and having the rights to any content you submit. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise) without qualified oversight.

4. Intellectual property

We retain all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including software, documentation, and branding. You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to provide the service. Outputs generated for you are yours to use, subject to third-party rights in any inputs you provided.

If you believe content on the service infringes your rights, contact us and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it. Repeated infringement may lead to account suspension.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Upgrades take effect immediately on a prorated basis; downgrades take effect at the next renewal. See our Refund Policy.

6. Service level and warranties

We work hard to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of these terms. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. When access ends, we may delete your data after a reasonable retention window; export anything you need beforehand.

9. General

You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of our place of establishment, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
